Providing tools to assess the needs of Florida's children and their families.

Florida KIDS COUNT is excited to announce our newly formed Advisory Council! We are honored that our impressive list of members are willing to share their time and talent on behalf of our state’s children.

Our first meeting on March 23 was filled with robust discussions on how we can work together - to not only shape the future of Florida KIDS COUNTS - but to make meaningful connections to the policy and advocacy communities as a strong group with a unique blend of talents and expertise that will improve things for all #FLKids.

The Advisory Council will support FKC in these areas:

Vision: To elevate the awareness of Florida KIDS COUNT. To expand Florida KIDS COUNT's reach by communicating and disseminating data to inform citizens, business leaders, nonprofits, media and policy makers to make the case for research, advocacy, policy, action and funding. To ensure data being collected are relevant and useful.

Advise: To help shape the future of Florida KIDS COUNT. Anticipate and understand issues affecting Florida's children. Recommend direction and provide counsel on the relevance of data sources, what information is needed, who needs it and how to get it to them.

Connect: To assist Florida KIDS COUNT in developing strategy to connect, communicate and provide necessary information and data, as well as advance, develop and cultivate financial and in-kind resources to support publications and programming.
